I provide trustworthy, compassionate, and loving care in my happy home.

Here are the two services I offer:

Daytime Stays

Daytime care in my home while you’re at work or on a day trip

$65 per day

  • On an as-needed basis, or we can set up a regular schedule (I can also sometimes accommodate last-minute bookings)
  • I’m happy to feed them or give them their meds if their stay occurs during their usual time for meals/meds
  • I have a lot of dog stuff here (which I clean in between guests), but you’re welcome to send them with some of their favorite toys, bones, or anything else to make them feel more at home
  • I can usually offer a complementary pick up/drop off depending on your location

Overnight Stays

Extended care in my home for longer trips or vacations

$90 per night

  • I’ll keep up whatever routine your dog is already used to (food, potty, walks, medication, etc.) — the only difference is that it’s in my house
  • I’ll ask you to provide me with enough food for their stay, as well as any meds or supplements they need
  • You’re welcome (and encouraged!) to bring anything else to make them feel more at home (toys or bones that they love, their own bed, etc.)
  • I can usually offer a complementary pick up/drop off depending on your location
  • I’ll send you regular text and picture updates so you can have even more peace of mind

What Will We Do All Day?

Short answer: It depends on the dog!

Longer answer: I’ll find out from you what they like doing and what kind of schedule they’re used to. I also like to feel out how much energy they have throughout the day to see what kind of stimulation (or lack thereof) they might need.

Typical activities can include:

  • Relaxing / chilling / resting
  • Playtime where I get on the ground and have fun with them
  • Giving them their favorite bone or treat to enjoy
  • Short to long walks around the neighborhood
  • Walks/hikes in nature, weather permitting (if they’re up for it and if you’re okay with it)
  • Light training sessions if they enjoy that
  • Occasional field trips in the car with me (as long as that’s something you’re comfortable with)
  • Trips to a local dog park (only if they’re friendly and you give me the okay)

I’m adaptable — I want them to feel comfortable and at home, and I want you to feel comfortable knowing that they’re having a great time.

Details + Frequently Asked Questions

I want you to have all the information you need to feel comfortable with their stay.

Where will my dog be staying?

They’ll be staying with me in my home in Cameron Park, CA. I have a 1400 square foot townhouse with lots of color and beautiful views. People have told me that it feels like a happy zen oasis, and dogs seem to really like it!

I think it’s a beautiful, happy place to spend time (and I take care to decorate so there’s nothing breakable at tail height).

There’s a beautiful grassy area in the backyard with plenty of space for potty and walks, but unfortunately it’s not fenced. So if your dog is super high energy and needs a lot of fetch or off-leash exercise, I’m probably not going to be the right fit.

Yes, my house does have some stairs (no more than 7 steps at a time), which is a consideration if you have a senior dog with significant mobility issues.

However I do have a ton of experience carrying up to a 75 pound dog up and down my stairs, so I’m happy to do that if they’re willing to be carried (and you’re comfortable with that).

I don’t have any animals of my own right now. My 15 year old “soul dog” Sophie passed a couple years ago, and while I’m not ready to get another dog just yet, I absolutely love (and thrive on) watching other dogs.

I usually only take one dog (or family) at a time. This allows me to provide the high standard of care and attention that I really pride myself on.

This is ideal if your dog doesn’t always get along with other dogs, and can also can be great if they’re very sensitive and/or attached to you since they’ll get ALL of my attention.

On the other hand, if your dog is very friendly and you would prefer for them to have some canine company, let me know, and I’ll see what I can do! I might be able to book you at the same time as another family in the same situation.

Yes — I charge an additional $40 per night or $30 per day for each additional dog.

My schedule is very open. After being able to transition from a high-stress career as a web developer, I’m super grateful for that!

I code websites from time to time, and I have a couple passion projects that I’m slowly chipping away at, so I’ll typically do some reading and computer work throughout the day. Fortunately that gives me plenty of time and energy to devote to your dogs — they’re always my #1 priority.

Absolutely! I can usually offer a complementary pick up/drop off to make things a little easier on you (depending on how long your dog is staying with me and your location).

It’s totally up to you. A lot of my clients love it when I let their dogs on the couch or the bed with me, but I’m also more than happy to not let them jump up if that’s what they’re used to.

The Process

How do we get started?

Step 1: Book Your Stay

Get in touch and I’ll let you know if I have your desired dates available. If so, I’ll mark you down in my calendar (pending the meet & greet).

We’ll schedule a meet & greet at this time so we can make sure I’m a good fit for your dog(s).

Step 2: Meet & Greet

It’s a good idea to meet first, especially for extended stays. I’ll get to know your dog(s), we’ll go over their care requirements, and I’ll answer any questions you may have.

Meet & greets typically last for about 30 minutes (give or take).

Step 3: The fun begins!

I’ll ask you to please have their food and any meds/supplements ready to go, as well as any of their favorite bones, toys, or beds if you’d like.

Either I’ll pick them up or you’ll drop them off, and your dog(s) will start their stay!

I know how difficult it can be to trust someone else with a part of your family.

I’ve been there before — I hope you feel my sincerity when I say that your dog(s) will be in very good hands.

I love what I do, and I love every single dog that I get to take care of. I hope yours is next! 🙂
